How do I send a PDF to my computer?

1. Tap Send PDFs and pick a file.
2. On the computer, open the address the app shows in any browser — or scan the QR code from another phone.
3. The PDF downloads. Nothing needs to be installed on the computer.

Keep the sharing screen open until the download has finished. Sharing ends when you leave that screen, tap Stop sharing, or the link expires.

The computer cannot open the address

• Put the phone and the computer on the same Wi-Fi network.
• Avoid “Guest” Wi-Fi: it hides devices from each other. Many office, hotel and café networks do the same.
• No shared Wi-Fi? Turn on your phone’s hotspot, connect the computer to it, then open the sharing screen again.
• Type the address exactly as it is shown, including the numbers after the colon.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The file travels over your own Wi-Fi or your phone’s hotspot, so it works on a plane, in a basement or anywhere else without a signal. If you are not on Wi-Fi, Settings → Offline hotspot can start a hotspot for you.

How do I stop other people on the network downloading my file?

Turn on Require PIN before you share. The computer then has to enter the PIN before the download starts. It is worth doing on public or shared Wi-Fi. To protect every share, switch on Require PIN by default in Settings.

How do I get a PDF from my computer onto my phone?

With Pro, tap Receive from PC and open the address it shows in a browser on the computer. Choose a PDF and it uploads straight to the phone. It is saved in the app and copied to your Downloads folder.

What do the PDF tools do?

With Pro, before you send a file you can:

• Compress it, so it sends faster. Scanned documents shrink the most. If a file is already as small as it gets, the app sends the original.
• Merge several PDFs into one, in the order you pick them.
• Split out only the pages you need.
• Protect it with a password, which the computer will need to open it.
• Preview it full screen.

All of them run on your phone. Nothing is uploaded.

What is free, and what does Pro add?

The free app sends single PDFs up to 100 MB. PDF Send Pro is a one-time purchase. It removes ads and adds sending several PDFs at once, larger files, receiving from a computer, the PDF tools, and choosing how long a share stays open.

I bought Pro and it is not showing

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the same Google Play account you bought with. If it says no previous purchase was found, check that you are using that account. If it says it couldn’t reach the store, check your connection and try again — that message never means your purchase is lost.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Google Play, not by us. Use the refund option in your Google Play order history, or write to us and we will help you find it.

How do I change my ad choices?

In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, open Settings → Ad privacy options to change or withdraw your consent. Pro removes ads entirely.
