InvoiceBoss Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and InvoiceBoss (“we”, “us”) for your use of the InvoiceBoss app. By installing or using the app, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
1. What you may do with the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use InvoiceBoss on devices you own or control, for your own business or personal invoicing. This licence lasts as long as you comply with these terms.
You may not resell, rent or redistribute the app, attempt to extract its source code, or use it to break the law or to send anyone documents they have not asked for.
2. Your data and your invoices
Your content is yours. We claim no ownership of your invoices, clients, prices or logo, and we never receive them — the app stores everything on your own device. See the Privacy Policy.
Because your data lives only on your device, keeping it safe is your responsibility. If you lose the device, delete the app, or your phone fails, the data goes with it and we cannot recover it. Export a backup regularly from Backup & export, and keep it somewhere you trust.
3. Free version and Pro
The free version is not a trial and does not expire. It includes two invoice designs and a monthly allowance of invoices and sends; the current allowance is shown in the app. Backups, CSV export and payment reminders are part of the free version.
InvoiceBoss Pro unlocks every invoice design and the options for customising a design, removes the monthly allowance, and enables recurring invoices and reports.
4. Subscriptions, trials and payment
Pro is offered as a yearly subscription or as a one-off lifetime purchase. All purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and those stores — not us — take the payment.
- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy, and are set per country by the store.
- Free trial. Where a trial is offered, it applies to the yearly subscription and is available once per store account. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the first year is charged.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your store account is charged for the renewal.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Lifetime. A lifetime purchase is a single payment for the lifetime of the product. It does not renew and does not need buying again, including on a new device — use “Restore a purchase”.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy, and we cannot issue them ourselves. Apple’s are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com; Google’s through the Play Store. If something is genuinely wrong with the app, tell us — we would rather fix it.
6. Changes to the app
We may add, change or remove features as the app develops. If a change would remove something material that you have paid for, we will say so before it happens rather than after.
7. No warranty
InvoiceBoss is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it correct, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet every requirement of your business.
InvoiceBoss is not accounting, tax or legal advice. It formats documents and adds up the numbers you enter. Tax rates, invoice numbering rules and what an invoice must legally contain differ by country and change over time. Checking that your invoices meet the rules where you trade, and that the figures are right, remains your responsibility.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost business, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending this agreement
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may end this licence if you materially break these terms. Sections 2, 7 and 8 continue to apply afterwards.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction — except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
11. Apple and Google
This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the app or for support of it. On iOS, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
